Hi,

I've noticed lots of "ftp:" URLs in debian/copyright files.
Isn't the "ftp:" URL scheme obsolete? At least it is no longer
recognized by Firefox, which does a search on Google instead.

Maybe this can be added to the package smells?

The protocol, maybe. The URL scheme not at all.

No, it isn't.

Yes, FTP support has been removed from Firefox since version 90 in 2021,
but Firefox is - first and foremost - a browser, not a FTP client or RSS
reader (RSS support has been removed from Firefox in 2018, but RSS is
still not obsolete).
